I have an 06 ML 500. I guess I must have spilled some Coke or something on it a while back, which caused a few of the keys on the Comand system, the A/C control and the bottom control (DSR, Hazard, Traction etc) to become sticky. All of them are still operational (thank god). I took the car in to the dealer today for some other issue and asked them to look at the sticky buttons as well. Basically they want to charge me $235 for taking off those buttons/controls and then an extra charge from whatever the detailer will charge me.
Personally I think thats too high a cost, and I would rather not risk taking them off myself unless it was very easy (I would hate to damage the buttons). Given that, does anyone have suggestions (maybe other Mercedes technicians that would charge me less in the San Francisco Bay area)?
Price sounds about right for Bay Area. Ban the kids from front seat area.
