l see this on page 174....but my MFD has only off and on for the easy-entry feature, whereas my other 06 ML had the steering col, and steer, col+seat feature...l'm wondering if this is a premuim package thing, l had the premuim package on my other 06 ML, whereas now l have the sport package.....with the alcantra seating....
If my memory serves me correctly from the time I ordered my current ML500, yes, it is a premium (or other )package thing. I also have the adjustable bolsters in the front seats which were also contained in a package and are from what I have been told no longer available. I can't get over this decontenting thing. It just may drive me to an MB competitor for my next vehicles and thats after 6 MB's since 1989!
I think you need the memory package to get the seat to move on the easy entry/exit settings.
l have the memory package.......

As for some of the options disappearing, its frustrating when you purchase a vehicle because it contains certain options that you enjoy, then the next year, they remove them...or no longer offer them...

Valid points, but the MB Marketing guys will probably point out that sales continued to increase from 2006 into 2007 and 2008, despite the removal of certain features.

Carlos, for 2007, ALL Mercedes-Benz vehicles had the seat move feature taken out. From C to S-Class...and yes my '07 doesn't have it either which is very unfortunate. I really like the feature.
I was told that the official position is that it has to do with safety, but my suspicion is that the lawyers got to it and it has to do with not crushing the rear passenger's feet/knees! Maybe not a problem in a LWB S-Class, but in my sister's C-Class the seat really does go all the way back until there is probably about 3" of rear legroom!

My 2008 ML has the memory seats and premium package but I can only move the seats through the memory buttons (1,2 or 3); can't do it from the keys; would be nice if I could..

Those damn marketing guys !!!!!!!! "Don't they know l love all my toys".....Guys..isn't that why we own Benz's.....we want every conceivable option !!!!
