I had my Ml320 cdi since 2006. so far done 31000km. Engine shut down twice, dealer couldn't find any reason. Sunroof can't close. Air con has smell, dealer fixed, and smell came back after few week. Recently accelerating problem...
It is a great car, very solid, good handling, very comfort....if no problem.
Thinking to trade in a Q7.
i just want a safe car for my family. If you drive over 80km/hr and engine shut down, fixed by dealer and happened again...
Sunroof couldn't close over the weekend(was raining).
I don't think it is a safe car anymore, no matter how strong a body.
So in the market, which one i can choose, X5, Q7..anymore?
Obviously each case is different and you'd have to run your own numbers but many people have found that the gain in fuel economy is still greater than the price difference in premium to diesel. Factors to consider include location, time of year (diesel prices drop during summer months), miles driven, and driving style.
I'm also curious, what kind of repairs were not covered?
To name a few: power steering related cost $700+, reservoir both washer and PS $600+ and several other added together to >$1000.
