I know people have posted on the Eibach lowering springs before, but most of the comments seem a little dated. Just wanted to see if any of those who have had them installed recently had any thoughts on the ride post-installation? Also, what did it cost and did you have the camber adjusted?

My Ml280cdi has been installed the Eibach for a year with the stock shock. The car looks better with the new height. The ride qualtiy is comfort but a bit too soft for me specially on bumpy road or >140km/h. The stock shock can not stop the spring fast enough and it's annoying. I just got the Bilstein B6 sport installed after a very long wait. Now the ride is firmer and less roll in cormering as I prefer. I recommend to pair the lowered springs with the new sport shock. Part # is BE5 C436, C437

Was the ride with the stock shocks and Eibach springs similar to the ride with old stock springs and shocks?
I don't know for the other spring but it's not with Eibach. The ride was worse than the stock set. It's just too soft. The rear end keeps bumping 3-4 times when on the rough surface road. It's unacceptable and very annoying for me. I been put up with this for year until Bilstein decided to produce this set for me.
That's why I recommend to get the sport shock install when change to the lowered spring. Don't know about the stock shock in U.S tho.

Alpina - Thanks for the information. Probably due to soft Eibach springs with less suspension travel, the ride actually worsened when using stock shocks.
Note: the stock US shocks are very soft, so probably expect similar problem.
For me that's the end of my research for Eibachs on a ML350. NA.
No good as far as I'm concerned since I know they will not work well with stock shocks. I've seen this on 2 other cars with Eibachs, which means their claim that they work well with stock shocks is not always true.
Agreed, MB-SV. Sounds like Eibach may not be the way to go. Anybody with H&R have a better/worse experience?
Yeah Eibach makes these questionable claims often. But other springs are probably best mated with certain shocks also. We should remember that MB carefully selects/matches/tunes major suspension components such as springs and shocks so mods should be done with care.
