V1 Hardwire - I need a 12v switched wire

I want to hardwire my V1 into my '08 ML63. I've taken off the console/cover of the overhead and found many wires, of which I figured out what many of them are for. However, regardless of which wires I've tried, I can't seem to find one that will power the V1, much less one that is switched.
Can anyone help me out finding an appropriate wire to tap into for this?

Thanks...I appreciate any and all help!

Welcome to the forum!

I was actually in the same situation about a year ago. I first tried to run the power from the 12 volt outlet at the front passenger footwell, but didn't like that it didn't turn off immediately with the ignition. Eventually I ended up simply running the wire off the cigarette lighter. The thin RJ-11 cable tucked in and around the A-pillar with no problem, and I have the V1 mounted up behind the passenger side sunvisor.

I have a Y-splitter in the glovebox and from there I ran the concealed display up against the middle of the dash, behind the Parktronic display.

If you're interested I'll take a few pictures

Pictures please!!! I also have a V1 but I never gathered the nerve up to take apart the overhead console in search for a good wire to connect to. With my luck something always breaks when I take things apart.

We are getting some crime in my neighborhood (gotta love Miami) so I don't even keep the radar detector plugged in anymore. This is a pic of how I had the remote unit in my Lightning and I loved it! (above the head unit)
