I have 2007 ML CDI, It has 26,000 miles (Accepted delivery on 12/26/06).No problem other than recall sensor replacement. My warranty will expire at 48,000 mile. I expect this will happens some time end of 2009 i.e. In 3 years it will be driven 48,000 miles.
I am looking at after market or Mercedes company extended warranty up to 100,000 miles,(I do not know if they have time limit) that cover all the major expenses including electrical. I would like to buy this warranty some time this year.
Any suggestion or experience for reputable company that will pay Mercedes dealer cost for repair when required. Also Cost for this extended warranty.

I have a CPO car with a Mercedes warranty, and I think they are the best. I think you can extend your new car warranty with them for 7 total years (from the time you bought it) and 100,000 miles. The sooner you buy it, the less it will cost; they add a surcharge after every 12 months of ownership. The price varies from model to model, but I have read that you can negotiate the cost somewhat with your dealer, or other dealers.

Definitely shop around. I live in Maryland and got a Mercedes warranty from a dealership in California at almost half the price. My car was new at the time so I don't know how they would deal with one over a year old and with your mileage.
I would suggest only an MB warranty. Most likely the most expensive but its the most comprehensive and you know it will be there at any MB dealersip if you need it. Many are not accepted by dealerships, others are scams but this is a sure thing. I for one never purchase an extended warranty which is really an insurance policy and have gone at my own expense. I have always come out ahead. Remember all including MB's are designed to be profitable for the issuer.

MB warranty has a lot of exclusions. 90% of my break downs are not covered by the MB. Makes me wonder why I bought it in the first place.
So, which are covered? Mind if you elaborate on your breakdowns?
And who's the warranty with?
