What's the current time (or typical time) between placing an order, getting it produced, and arrival at a West/California dealer? I placed an order for a loaded ML550 2 weeks ago and don't feel like I'm getting the full story from my dealer. The worst-case estimate I was given was 90 days but that they'd try to find and modify an existing order. They found an order but despite that they're now saying late December...

i recently leased a 2008 ml350 and was wondering what platform this new ml is riding on. the old ml320 rode very stiff and the new one is very compliant. i realize it`s on a car platform now instead of a truck platform. i`m sure it`s unibody construction now. am i riding on the new e-class platform?

I think the current ML is on it's own unibody chassis, not new E-class chassis.

Our system, called, "Net Star" is very clear about the production date. From there figure two to three weeks for delivery. Ask them to send a screen-shot of the production date if you still have doubts...but believe me, it's not in their best interest to push it off at all.

I've seen in literature and some reviews that 07 and forward ML's were supposed to have as an option the Off Road Package similar to the one on the GL's. Did this option ever make it into production? I do a great deal of mountain biking and having that option pkg would be helpful.
