AZ, I ordered a ML550 09 a couple weeks ago, and my salesman told me that there is no lighting package until october a couple days ago? Is this true? Thanks
Dear AZ, I'm looking @ a 1980 450SL. 103,000 miles, seems to run well, steering has a bit of play, saw some oil on top of engine, dash has 2 cracks in it, paint is original & has crackling in it but no apparent body rust & 1 tiny spot of rust on hard top along a pc. of chrome. Speedometer clicks a bit when driving-as I recall, when slowing down. I found a website yesterday that said the car only gets 13 miles/gal. (ouch!) True? What questions should I ask of the 4th owner (doesn't have previous owners repair records) & a mechanic I would take it to for inspection prior to purchasing. The original radio was replaced w./a Bose(?) removable face plate & 2 speakers sunk into the floor/carpet behind the seats. Asking price is $9,000. (I'm talking myself out of it because of gas mileage.) Any info you can give would be helpful as I'm finding very little researching on-line. Thank you, Hol

I don't know, but automakers commonly do this, usually due to parts shortages for initial builds.
