talking about horns, i had my "low tone" horn replaced twice in 12 months and 5000miles. my previous w203 had its horn replaced within a month off the showroom.
I replaced the wimpy OEM horns with Hella's. Much louder now.

Good idea. Was it plug and play, or were other modifications required?

I noticed that my ML has 2 types of horns, one for the "regular" horn which sounds a bit better than the panic alarm horn - sounds like a goat being strangled -"mmeep, mmeep:.. Which one did you replace?

The two regular horns, behind the grill, and in front of the radiator.
With BMWs, you have to have the key in the car to have the headlamps on. Now that's much worse / more inconvenient than having to have the key in for the horn to work, heh.
Yes, but in a BMW you can always pull the stalk forward to flash someone if needed at anytime. You probably dont want to have your lights on without the engine running

LOL, sounds like they haven't changed much. I'm too embarrassed to use the alarm because of the meep meep. At least it gets attention.
