The centre section............

which houses the AC controls, l'm trying to remove the wooden bezel around it.....Does it have to be done from the back, or will it pull off from the front ???? Does removing the radio make it any easier....Thanks in advance........

Carlos, you have to pull it off from the front. There are two clips/latches that you have to release at the lower two corners (left and right) of the wood panel. Reach underneath the "ledge" and you should be able to feel something there that you can lift up on and pull towards you. From what I recall, the panel should then come out.

You have to remove that panel to get to the COMAND system actually, so you can't remove the radio to help you

If you have to remove the ashtray, slide it open, and there are torx screws that you can remove and then slide the tray out. You'll have to maneuver the tray open/close in order to wiggle it out between the two grab handles.

lt worked like a charm...........l have removed all the wooden pieces and replaced them with the graphite-looking bezels..lt looks much better with the aluminum pieces on the doors...."more sporty"...Thanks again..........as always.............
