Anybody tried using biodiesel? at what blend?
What is the deal with ultra low sulfur, I taught all gas stations already switched to ultra low sulfur. Are there specific gas stations that I should buy the diesel from?
What happens if regular diesel was used?
What is the highest mileage recorded on the ML320 CDI by any Benzworld member? |
1. The diesel is great. It uses a special MB certified oil (229.51) but if you have a dealer service it then you don't have to worry about finding it. 10,000 miles between servicing.
2. Some forum members have reported jerky transmissions, bad shocks, sticking tailgates, and some other reliability issues with the suspension. Recommend a long test drive and don't baby it.
3. Biodiesel is not available in my area that I know of. I have driven up and down the East Coast and not had any problems finding Low Sulfur Diesel. All the pumps have a big green sticker. The other diesel says "off road use" on it I think.
4. Regular diesel will clog the fuel system and may void the warranty. If my life depended on it yes I would use it but only then.
5. I have gotten an indicated steady 30 mpg by the onboard computer going down I95 at 70 mph.
A question I have on the new "blue" models is where will you get Urea and how much will that cost?
I should also add that I think the Command and Nav suck for the money. Quite a few of the roads are I seem to use are off the maps, it is cumbersome to enter data, you have to keep hitting the info button on Sirius to see who is performing, and it's just a matter of time before the little multifunction enter/navigate joystick breaks.
