To protect my cargo area carpet I want to get a cargo liner. The MB "Cargo tub" is more plastic-like, while the WeatherTech is more rubber like. The WeatherTech seems like it would be more slip resistant.
Can anyone make a recommedation as to which will have a better fit and function?
I have been pleased with other products from WeatherTech, but the MB liner has the star logo in the center.
I have the MB liner and it's really functional with the holes at the corners. It's more plastic in looks vs. the WeatherTech but main thing is that it has the MB star logo in the center - if you care about this. I'm pretty happy with it and besides, I got it free from my dealer when I purchased the ML
I also have the MB tray. Fits perfectly and was about $80 tax included from the dealer. They have added little holes at the four corners so one can use the tie-down hooks. That wasn't on the 163 tray. This is good unless you plan to have a lot of wet and dirty stuff in the tray that might leak through to the carpet. If the hooks are in the "up" position, the holes seem to seal pretty well, but if the hooks are folded down, liquids. sand. etc. could get through. I guess one could tape off the holes from underneath...
This is made by WEATHERTECH. Look at the fine prints. WeatherTech makes lots of Floor mats, floor liners for MB and WITH the MB logo on them, too.

I checked my MBz Cargo liner and also my MBz Floor liners and at the bottom, they say: "Made in the USA by MacNeil Automotive Products". You can also confirm this by going to their web site (http://www.weathertech.com/). In Canada though, you have to buy from the dealer to get the MBz logo; if you buy from Weathertech Canada they'll sell you cargo liner and floor liners with the "Weathertech" logo although they fit perfectly in the ML.
