Talking Not faulty transmission but bad sensor !!

Hi All!

You remember back a while, I posted about a very serious problem which would occur from time to time. While accelerating , the power would totally cut out (like out of fuel!) and the entire car would jerk front back 2-3 times until you let up on the gas. Last time it happened I couldnt accelerate at all afterwards. The car went into limp mode.

The whole time I was thinking it was a problem with the trans, due to all the other posts. I left it with the service tech, and thank god he experienced the same problem. After checking all the possible fault codes, they thought it had to do with the turbo sensor, but then somehow found it to be sensor related to the air intake into the turbo, which was faulty and therefore sending 0 to the engine, which would then cut and go temporarily into limp mode. Very strange. Well anyway, I hope this was truely the problem.

BTW - the windshield has a new crack , MB will repair it tomorrow at their own cost!
