clicking marble noise above rear view mirror

Hi ,
My car is a 320cdi 4 months old ... since driving out of the show room
there has been a clicking noise (somewhat like a marble rolling a short
distance) ... which can be heard just above the rear view mirror. It
happens at speeds below 80Km/hr .... it goes away when the car is left
in the sun? So it happens when car is cold.

Have been back to the dealer 7 times now ... they have pulled the lighting
unit (above the rear view mirror) apart but found nothing ... they now say
that until I can tell them where the problem is they can't do anymore!

Could there be something loose in the windscreen joint? The clicking is
driving me nuts!

Any clues appreciated ... otherwise I love the car!

That sounds like a typical MB response to all of their MB owners..

I have a co-worker with a 3 Series BMW which was making a whistling sound. They couldn't figure it out so they got a specialist from Germany to come in and figure it out. a month later the car was fixed.

I don't have that confidence in MB that way!!
