Reason: spelling of cowl
If its an aftermarket windshield it when looking closely will not match the other windows as so far as the tint goes. Also most likely the rain and light sensors will not work correctly. As far as the damage goes if its the part I think it is only a good body shop will be able to install and match the paint. Why on earth did you select a windshield shop that does the work outside at your house. This should have gone to a glass place that does the work in a controlled enviornment and was reccommended by your dealer. The windshield on your vehicle happens to be a very important structual piece of the vehicle. Now also see if you have any leaks when it rains.
The cowl is an automotive part responsible for supporting the windshield and the dashboard. It is located just below the windshield specifically between the engine firewall and the front of the dash panel. In some European countries, the cowl is being referred to as the scuttle or cowl panel as a whole.
You will also notice that cowls usually has a visible vent that allows air into the engine compartment and some parts of the car’s heater-ventilation air conditioning (HVAC) unit. This vent has air filters to regulate dust and other particles that enter the vent together with the air. Cowls are also extended until underneath the hood, providing a place for some components of your vehicle’s HVAC system and serving as the windshield and its wipers’ base.

Sosh,
Most glass replacement shops do the work onsite at your location. The reason is you are not allowed/supposed to drive the vehicle after the replacement. There are some glass shops that offer internal replacement the storage of vehicle but they usually cost more. Also, glass shops usually come out to auto repair shops where the car will be housed indoors for a few days.
BTW, the reason they ask that you refain from driving the vehicle after getting the glass replaced is due to pressure when shutting your door(s). Another reason they leave your windows down a pinch.
After a day you can remove the blue tape that they use to cover the moldings, etc. You do not under any circumstances leave the tape on longer, it will leave marks.
