The dealer did it! I printed off the postings from this thread. And sure enough, I now have a passenger side mirror that tilts when I put the transmission into reverse. So, yes, it can be done!

For the folks that got it activated by their dealers, can you tell me what code or any other type of info that was performed? I have been dealing with my dealer for a couple of days and they keep saying that it cannot be done.

I just printed off this entire thread for my dealer. You could always try and have them call Murray Motors in Denver, Colorado. They knew exactly where to go to change this, even without my printout.
Thanks BK, I will try that.
I went through the settings on the MFD and no luck. It worked fine in my 04 E320 but somehow the new cars need to be STAR’ed.
'06 has the feature, and it's driver adjustable.
They turned it off for the ML '07s, probably because JD Power started to include "ease of use" in its initial 90-day quality reports. SGEM reports that they it was turned off for the E's as well.
I don't know the codes, but SF Benz on Folsom Street had no problem turning it on. Perhaps call them or have your dealer do so.
