One of, if not THE, main reasons i bought this car was to protect my 2 little girls (and my bigger girl -the wife). Good to read that our car is as safe as it gets..

One question: does this rating apply only to the '07 ML or are the '06 ML's the same for safety? One difference I can think of is standard rear side airbags for 2007. Any thoughts?

I am going to assume here that this applies to the 06 as well. They are the same truck structurally (sans the rear bags). Airbags are a "supplemental restraint system"
