My third ML: 2006 W164 ML350 Black / Macadamia.

According to the Technical Specifications Sheet (in French), the engine is the same 5.0L engine as in my 2006 ML-500.
These specs: 225KW(=301HP). 460Nm(=339.23lb/ft) are for the existing 5.0L engine.
That's very funny, Jean: in the italian and french version I can see from here it's clearly the new ML500:
5461 cubic cm, 388 HP DIN, 0-100 Kmh in 5.8 seconds, 530 Nm Torque@2800 rpm, fuel consumption 17.9 l/Km city, 13.1 combined.
If you do not see these data, there must be some kind of Big Brother protection for North-American viewers! Have you checked the very last pages of the pdf pricelist ?? Do not go to the tech specs - these data are at the end of the April 1 pricelist !

First comment says: Standard Equipment which includes -
Glass Sunroof, AMG styled bumpers, 19" 5-spoke AMG wheels, running boards.
I HATE running boards! They look okay, but are hard to live with... mostly just good for getting muck on the back of your pant legs...
Aside from that, the option packages may have changed a little bit... Premium III now includes Bi-Xenon lights and parktronic... i think those were all stand-alone options previously - but could be wrong.
I have a 2008 ML550 on order. The current order guide shows that Distronic is no longer an option for this car while it was an available option on the 2007.
My salesman has inquired at "corporate" but after a week no clarification.
Does anyone have firm information on Distronic for 2008????
