cheesey sheepskin covers

I don't know why, but I ordered the sheepskin inserts for the front seats that MB has optional. They are so narrow that they only cover the center of the seat. The outside bolsters are left uncovered and that is where the wear really takes place getting in and out.
Am I missing something?

Sheepskin seat covers are primarly for our comfort rather than protection of our car seats. Warm in the winter, cool in the summer.

I believe that inserts were made available because of the ease of tailoring, quality of fittment, installation, and price in comparison to having inventory for all seat configurations made.

Now that you mentioned it, I think I'll order a pair for this summer. It gets hot up here in the high desert.

BTW, one thing I've experienced is full sheepskin seat covers wear quickly at the bolsters!
