Rice burner - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Wikipedia is a user based online encyclopedia. People like you and I can legitimately edit these articles if we see a mistake. Because of that, that article is only a compilation of other peoples' opinions in one convenient place.

My generation is full of ricers, I hate it. I think it's stupid to rice out cars, but personally I think you have it very wrong, even if it's subjective. There's nothing wrong with trying to make a slow-ish car faster with mods, just don't make the "fast mods" all show and no go.

No offense intended at all.

This is exactly why I posted the Q, to get informed on the stuff like this, performance vs cost, real negatives, potential positives, etc....

"Mods" are subjective, like you said to each their own... maybe I'll want to throw an AMG front bumper on later... ya never know.... ;o)

Hi there jaser35x,

Just a little knowledge from me. CAI will somehow affect low end torque. So if u r often in a stop n go traffic. Poor gas mileage is expected. But of coz if u travel freeway all the time. Gas mileage would be good as CAI improves the car's mid n high end torque.

To whom it may concern,
So again, i think individual mods is very subjectives. Even some ferrari would FI or even installed Gruppe M to their car to make it faster or even sounds better. One may like classical music, the other may like rock music. U just cant stop others. U may say its waste of money. But to the person he is happy so be it! Y should one be bothered!
What i think is to add more rice/mods to the car is like exploring the higher limits of the car itself. Also to add alittle spice to your ownership. Its like buying toys n playing with it. U have fun.
So again it is to each on its own. U can never blame me for spraying my car in bright pink in color. Because i like it. What can u do! haha....
"Fast mods" who would want to commit such mods? Its definately waste of time n $. But when one did it, it might a try out thing or be cheated to think such mod is really a go. But of course if its a no go... who would still wana have it.
As for CAI can get unsatisfactory performance, i would say any evidence to prove? Hmm... If the CAI manufacturers could produce dyno charts of the performance increased after installing the CAI. What can one say? Its fake! Well i think is true be coz there is evidence to prove.

I'm not targetting at anyone here. Just here to share my 2cents worth. Talk is free... No offense to anyone.

Cheers all....
