What's with the ULSD in Maryland?
I'm half way down on my first tank so I went looking for a fill-up. I stopped at four different stations along MD Route 3 and US 301, including two listed in the MB Fuel Finder, and none had ULSD. Although one station had a sticker saying "do not use in 2007 or later diesel cars". I did find ULSD at a fifth station, a Mobil just south of MD Route 50 which had it, but it was $2.99/gal where all the LSD diesel stations were selling the LSD at $2.59-$2.69. I asked the counter people inside each if they knew when they would be recieving the new fuel, and they gave me the usual dumb stares.
I know there can be a transition period, but shouldn't more of the stations already be switching to ULSD? This has gotten me quite worried.

I've found it at all Shell stations I've checked. Chevron claims to have all stations changed over. All three Travel Centers of America (truck stops) in MD have it. See here:

Just a follow on note. Where I live (Bowie, US301/MD50 halfway between DC and Annapolis), only one station has ULSD, a Mobil. But they have both the green ULSD and the white LSD stickers on the *same* pump, and I can't get an answer from their manager which is which. Otherwise, there is a Shell 15 miles south in Upper Marlboro and an Exxon 7 miles north in Crofton. The Upper Marlboro Shell's single pump was out-of-order when I tried to fill up, and I had to drive twenty miles to the Crofton station to fill up.
The lesson I've taken from this is -- don't let your 07' diesel get too low in case you can't find the fuel...
