Smile I got my ML63 AMG yesterday!

I (finally) got my 06 ML63 AMG yesterday and it is truely amazing.

The sound is as perfect as it can be. The power is better than I was hoping for and the handeling is 1000%!!!!

I post pictures and more info later.

The mileage is pretty bad, but who cares!

congrats, it's a sweet car, drive carefully

oh and it's an 07 i believe, not 06.

to this day i think it's so silly that mercedes offers premium cars without Xenon headlights as standards. ML63, no standard HID ($86K US)
CLK63 Vert no standard HID ($89K US)
SL550, no standard HID ($95k US)

yet, you can get a 30k infiniti FX 35 with HID standard.

wtf.

i don't get it.

back on topic, post pics soon!

Congrats!

It's an awesome machine. I've logged almost 3K miles without a single problem yet. (A far cry from my old 2004 E55)

Yeah...milage sucks, but it's one of the most anti-politically correct vehicles on the road today. What did you expect? A Honda it ain't.

Enjoy, and get some picts up soon!

I know what you mean, but from what I know, Mercedes hasen't made them standard, because many people like the plain haolgens better, bexause they don't like the color and halogens emit a light that illuminates the ground right in front of the car somewhat more intensley(they're crazy). i think they're nuts, because why would you not want something that improves your vision at night right, because of the color come on. I'm sure you got the night view assist on your S550 revolt, because it helps your vision, and because it's just plain cool, correct me if i'm wrong.

So, how many miles do you guys squeeze out of a gallon of gas? Our ML55 is now officially the economy car and the M5 is the gas guzzler.

Congratulations, post some pix if you can, would live to see how it looks. After you feel comfortable with it, if possible give some driving impressions.

Right now I'm getting about 10-12 mpg. But my problem is that I have a lead foot. Every day at least once I've got to,"get on it" and that's a really bad idea for good economy. I have yet to take a substantial highway trip to determine best case fuel economy. Thankfully the ML has a big 25 gallon tank or I'd be at the pump every 3 or 4 days.
