What does Service B include for the 2006 ML350? Is it just an oil change with a bunch of checks and glances? My car says that I am 800 miles away from this services (currently at 12.5k miles)
Bear in mind that I've had my ML350 for only a couple of weeks, but here is what my dealer advised me in regards to maintenance:
There will be an annual oil change - once a year, or every 13,000 miles. Cost: $300.00
My understanding is that this is all I'll have to pay every year. Although, I sure hope that they do more than just a simple 10 minute oil change for 300 BUCKS!

I just saw the maintanence checklist that says that at 13k miles you need svc 1 and 3. Svc1 is basically checking stuff (see if the hood closes, all interior and exterior lights work, and all fluids are at safe levels). Svc 3 is an oil change. I hear what you are saying but i refuse to pay $300 for an oil change. Will going to an independant MB shop for this service cause harm to my warranty? of course the indie is a reputable shop that only works on MBs
Just cehcked with an indie and they will do all the Svc 1 and 3 work for about $170 versus the $300 + at the dealer. Luckily this shops comes recommended

I think my dealer is charging $300 for both svc 1 & 3. When the time comes, I will definitely shop around on that...
That sounds right around what my dealer said. I called an indie that i expect to use and they quoted $170 for the svc 1 & 3. I am used to BMW where the svc in inlcued free so i am trying to get used to the idea of NOT going to the dealer for svc with the Benz while it is under warrenty...but the savings are a no brainer here

BMW's service is only free if you choose to ignore the fact that it has already been shoved into the sticker price of the car...
