I got my ML320 CDI today, and it has the bluetooth kit installed;
However with all the manuals that came with it, not a one mentioned bluetooth in it, and there doesnt seem to be any instructions on how to pair a phone to the kit;
I'm guessing I'm missign a manual (but sales guy says no) - he doesnt know how to do it, and is calling another client as no one one in the dealership appears to know how to pair a phone to the car.
I have searched the forum, and found lots about bluetooth, however not any hints as to how to pair them;
The procedure I was "told" to use at picup was to hit the TEL button, which attempts to connect to the phone, then use the phones menu to search for enchancements, or create a new pair - both I tried and niether find each other;
I have tried an Motorola L7 and a Nokia 8801 - with no luck;
I checked the index of the manuals provided and they dont have any "bluetooth" mentioned. I scanned all the section in 3 books provided for anythign related to the phone,a nd no directions;
Its likly I'm blind and missed it, or it really doesnt have any data on this procedure (ie, missing manual) - I've done this procedure on my Infiniti M35x - no issues with either phone BTW)
This is a 2007 BTW, if that makes a differance;
Thanks in advance your your assistance, and patience..
i don't know if the Nokia 8801 is compatible, but i think the L7 is.......not 100% sure though.
and do you have an adapter in the upper part of your arm rest.....it's a rectangular device with a blue color tip ... it has a MB logo on it.........if you don't have that then your "blue tooth kit" is not complete......
basically what you gotta do is...power the car on..........then put your phone on "discoverable" or "find me" mode........then press and hold the MB logo on the adapter (that's in the upper part of your arm rest)....then enter a 5 digit code (it's like 62xxx or something like that)...and it should be paired.............given that the phone is the right brand/model with the right software version.
Thanks I'll try that procedure, I do in fact have the MB Bluetooth Adaptor installed, and yes is that funky blue light and all.. I'm headed out the ML shortly and will try it;
Did everyone that has bluetooth get a manual with it, (ie, am I missing mine) or is there no manual for this kit?
Thanks for the help misterjuice
Both phones work without issues!
I called the dealership today to tell them I found the answer, and not to worry about it, and they still didnt know what to do, so I had to share your directions with them... go figure!
anyway, still trying to get manuals from the dealer, but its like talking to a wall there with this issue;
Thanks again for everything! you were a huge help!
