Hi everyone... I wanted to be a ML500 owner badly... but I have one big concern: Will ML-class have 3rd row seat back in the near future??
I really don't want to buy a ML with out 3rd row seat, and no, I don't really like the GL no R... ML has a much better look... Does anyone here has inside news or heard or read anything regarding this on line?
But the GL is a much bigger and different style, the R is a mini van... and ML 1st generation (W163) also didn't have 3rd row seat in the first 2-3 years... and even towards the end of the W163 with 3rd row seat, the car is still shorter than W164 and with a smaller cargo space... so if W164 is to have 3rd row seat, no changes is needed except adding the foldable 3rd row seat into it... which will NOT change the look...
Moreover ML's main competitor, 2007 X5, is also adding 3rd row seat, so I really think ML will also have 3rd row seat avaliable in the near future...
Anyway doesn't anyone of you would like ML to have 3rd row seat?? I personally think that I won't be using the 3rd row seat, but it is just good to be there when you needed!
I thought the cargo area in the W164 is smaller then the W163, because they increased legroom for the second row seats.
That I don't have a definite answer... but W164 has 29.4 cu ft with 2nd row seats up... and when u look into the back, it looks big enough to fit in a 3rd row seat for 2...
I really think it is a business strategy... doesn't anyone think the same way as I do? and also, if BMW's X5 will have 3rd row seat in 2007, wouldn't it be stupid for ML not to have it?
