Just got my MB all weather mats and very disappointed with it. I saw the picture of the mats in the ML accessories brochure and thought it would be a great addition in my ML. However, once i bought it from the Parts dept at my local MB dealer and put them in my car, i was disappointed. I was expecting the mat to, at the very least, be bigger and cover more footwell, but it didn't. So, before anyone decides to purchase the mat, if you can, take a look at the mats first before making the decision. Also, if you decide to get the mats, no matter what interior your car is, go for the darker color as the lighter ones (as a few posters have mentioned) are harder to clean and get dirty easily. I got the dark one and the interior to my ML is grey. Sorry for the rant, but just want to save some people some $.

Your dealer should take them back if you are unhappy.

I agree with you those mats do not seem to be that great. But they are the only alternative to protect the floor carpeting. I used them last winter as replacement to the soft mats. In the beginning I had serious doubts about their efficiency because of their small size. But after a complete and generous winter of snow, mud and slash I found the floor well protected. Giv'm a chance.
I have the all weather floor "trays" that come from MB. These are the somewhat rigid plastic ones with a 1"-2" lip around the perimeter, and I think they do a great job of protecting the carpet. The only downside is there is not much protection for the dead pedal area.
