Has anyone noticed distortion from the image of the ML driver's sideview mirror? I am a dentist and perhaps more sensitive to mirror distortion than others, but it seems to me after spending $60,000 for my 06 ML500 the mirror shouldn't look like a reflection from an amusement park. I had the dealer replace it and the replacement mirror is almost as bad as the original. If I push on opposite corners of the mirror, it distorts easily. It seems as if Diamler used very thin, almost flexible material for the mirror. Maybe ok for a Kia but disappointing for a Mercedes.
I just picked up the new GL320 CDI yesterday and the driver side mirror is like looking into a silver mylar baloon. The image is very distorted not what I would expect from a 85,000 cdn SUV. I just upgraded from a GMC Envoy XL SLT and the mirrors on that veh are crips and clear. I was hoping that going German would give me a veh with high quality throughout.
