My ML 320CDi Sport was delivered in UK in July 2006. I ordered the Comfort Pack but ascertained fairly quickly that the rain sensitive wiper function was not working. The main dealer has checked and confirmed that whilst the auto dimming mirror was fitted MB forgot to put in the rain sensitive wipers or the heated screen washers.
Dealer does not know if these can be retro-fitted. Does anybody know? Has anybody else suffered the same? I would rather have these features than some form of credit/goodwill.
The heated washers are only heated in the washer resivore. Seems like if they change the resivore or just add the heated one. Maybe the wiring is not there for the heater?
I thought the hetaed washers came withthe lighting pkg not the comfort pkg. If that is the case then you do not have the headlight washers or heated washers or xenon lights for that matter.
Could I suggest that the dealer should find out pretty sharpish.
Sounds like a lame excuse to do nothing and let the customer make the choice. In reality anything can be retrofitted just a matter of money as for the wiring generally modern looms have most of the wiring for this stuff except they may lack various connectors from the main wiring loom to the device.
My ML has auto wipers and heated washers and it has the comfort package
