I know the number is good as I found out it is being shipped from the US, strange why a purchases wouldn't know what was on his own car??

Hehe, thanks for your help. I know what is on my car. The only thing is that I just wanted to get VIN reading to compare codes with those in Poland. BTW can you please reveal your source for VIN decoding which says that the car was shiped? You said it's on the internet. I would be grateful.

tap in the VIN and follow the links. So are you importing a car direct from the US rather than from a "euro" car through Merc poland, or do you get US specs in poland??

Thanks. I'm following this site already. I thought that there is a web site where you enter VIN and it shows everything about the car including what is happening with it now. But that would be probably to much.
I bought second hand ML350 in US with 6k miles on it and I'm paying 55k USD for it (including customs, tax, etc.). In Poland if I would like to buy a new one I would have to pay (for the same specs) 102k USD and for the used one with ca. 6k miles on it something like 80k USD. My decision was based on pure economics.
