Fuse Box - Rear Load Compartment

Hi, picked up new ML yesterday. Has anyone looked in the rear load compartment, right hand side looking forward. -There is a removeable panel behing which is a fuse box.

Question is - should this have a lid to cover fuses?

Thanks

You would think there should be one but there isn't, none of us have one. If I remember correctly, the last time I changed a fuse under the dash or in the foot well the box didn;t have a cover either and the one in the foot well just have a cover that matched the plastic footwell to cover the box, both we not MB cars.

Thanks for providing the info, the box was obviously designed to go under the hood with a lid at some point. New location is where my 6 stacker was in old ML320. Do you know if there is a fuse map showing what fuse does what? Can't seem to locate in owners manual.

The Fuse Chart is in the Tool Kit, or supposed to be.
