Tunnel Mode?

So I read about this (tunnel mode) feature on the "Interior Features" part of the MBUSA website. You press and hold the air recirc button and it closes all open windows and the sunroof. Anyone tried this? It doesn't work for me, this seems so stupid, but what the hell am I doing wrong?

RE: Tunnel Mode?

Works for me.
It automatically changes the air circulation from using external air to re-circulating the air in the vehicle and also closes all open windows, so you don't breath all the fumes when in the tunnel.

RE: Tunnel Mode?

hey bmustaf,

Make sure you have your air condiontoner on AUTO, or have it on for that matter. Then, press the Air Circ button for a couple seconds(while some windows are open).

Can any one help me work the AMG thing with the navi?
I've been trying to do it, but I dont see a secret menu or nething.

Thanks,
Pete

The AMG logo doesn't appear to work on US vehicles...

RE: Tunnel Mode?

Pete,

Thanks for the tip, I turn off the AC when I put the windows down, this apparently doesn't work with the AC off.

This is a curious design, why would I have the AC on when I have my windows and sunroof open?
