Visit Workshop

About a week ago a message, “Visit Workshop, showed up on my multi-function display. There was also a picture of an SUV with an arrow pointing up towards the undercarriage which indicates something is wrong with the air suspension. I didn’t note anything wrong with the suspension, but after a week of viewing this message I decided to take it to the dealer. I have 4,000 miles on the vehicle.
Dealer just called and it needs a compressor and another part that is on backorder. Says to keep my loaner overnight and will call tomorrow! Will advise more when known.

RE: Visit Workshop

Same happend to mine 06 ML350. A valve in the air compressor was leaking, so the pressure was incorrect in the Airmatic.

The part was on back order in Germany (I live in Norway), but the part arrived after 3 days from the US (I think), so my car was in the workshop for only 3 days
[:)]

I am still VERY impressed with my ML 350, and the engine is quick and sweet.[:)]

RE: Visit Workshop

Thanks for the feedback. Hopefully mine isn't in the shop for too long, but fortunately they provided a decent loaner so I do have transportation.

Hi Ansan,

did you also have the "visit workshop" message with the ML Symbol on the Multifuncton Display ?? Did you realize that something was wrong with the airmatik or did everything work well with it ??

RE: Visit Workshop

Hello Drak.

Yes, I had visit workshop in the disply a few times, but I didn't notice anything on the cars handling. But when I was driving in the snow once, I tried to lift it up to the highest level on the Airmatic and this was not possible.

RE: Visit Workshop

My vehicle needs a new air compressor and relay to fix the Airmatic, and the relay is back ordered! They don’t know when they will get one in. They said it wouldn’t hurt to drive my vehicle as it is because there is still air in the system and the mechanism still works, but below specifications.
