Got a Brand New 06' ML350 as a loaner, Love'd driving it for 1 day
Yesterday I dropped off my G500 for warranty repairs and the dealership gave me a brand new ML350 with 46 miles on it.
The vehicle is a HUGE difference from the last ML500 that I had.
The stock stereo (not even Bose) sounded AMAZING! The pick up, handling and power is not bad either. I would buy this vehicle all over again.
The only draw back was the very poor gas mileage that I got. I usually get about 10-12 mile per gallon on the G, but the ML350 was not any better.
I returned the loaner at 260 miles. [:D]

Is the ML350 really that bad on gas?.
Not the best on gas.
Everyone keeps saying how bad the ML is on gas.
If people are worried about gas then they cannot afford to own this car, they should buy a honda civic.
Kinda like the saying, "if you have to ask the price you cannot afford it." This was a general statement and thought for people to think about.

One would think you already research the car and know what you're getting before you spend $$$$$????? [:D] Yes, the ML 350 consumes a lot of gas (15 mpg city, 19 highway for me), but so does the X5, Cayenne, and LR3. I think the recent sky-high gas prices just makes this subject more interesting.......that's all.

For sure gas prices are no fun. Here in Southern CT they are high, but not as high as some places like Ca. I was just reading that prices in CA are 2.97 and higher!

It is unfair to compare Gas Milage at 46 miles. The engine is New and nor even broken in. Gas milage will be optimized after 3000-5000 miles. German engines are built tight and will need some milage to run at optimum economy. That's why they can last up to 300,000 miles.

It's more like $6, bear in mind most of your ML sales are Diesel so with our gas price increases we pay just as much as you if not more mpg.
