A diesel ML320CDI is slated for the next model year here in the USA.
It always seems to be a snooty lady with her nose up in the air, escorting her prissy poodle in the front seat.
Wow, they actually will sell those in U.S.? That's great. But probably not for long though. California hasn't gotten any diesel new vehicles since 2003 and certainly no E-class CDI here. I heard the whole US would stop importing or selling Diesel passenger vehicles in 2007.
Funny you should say... my neighbor has poodle and RX. Almost everyone I know who drive RX seem to fit your description of drivers. [8D]
This might be slightly off topic, but I've never seen any men driving the current generation Lexus RX330. It always seems to be a snooty lady with her nose up in the air, escorting her prissy poodle in the front seat.
Funny how you brought this semi-true assessment up because when I went to lexus dealer 3 years ago to buy a RX, the saleswoman was constantly hammer'n the point that your wife will love this car because its many features are catered towards women. And I didn't even say it was for my wife........ [:(!][:)]

Starting January 1, 2006 anyone who purchases a new hybrid vehicle or any new vehicle that has a diesel engine will be allowed to take as much as $3,400 in tax credit, based upon the EPA's evaluation of the vehicle's weight, engine, performance and overall rating.
This program is part of Bush's $2.5 billion dollar tax incentive (good until 2010) for Americans to start consuming more cleaner burning diesel engines in our vehicles (a special emphasis on the California area). So if you haven't seen any Diesels in California, rest assured that they're on their way! [:)]

[:D] I know my assessment was heavily bias, but the lexus is somewhat lacking in appealing to this man [^] ; Lexus hit a home run targeting their vehicle to primarily middle aged/old ([:I]), female drivers. [:D]
Remember that Lexus Christmas commercial where the man buys the RX330 for his wife and has the huge bow on it? [:D]
