I am curious what anybody may have paid (over and above the actual kit cost of $299) for the installation of the IPod kit. My dealer is charging for 3 hrs time = $315. Thanks for the info.
According to the literature on the Entertainment package, you can connect an iPod or other MP3 player to the AUX input of the package.
I took a closer look today and there appears to be a heaphone jack next to the CD changer (which pops up and down in the glove box). That would probably allow you to connect the iPod to the system, but as someone has correctly observed, control through the steering wheel will not be possible. The question is of course: Do you want to pay upwards of $500 to control your iPod through the steering wheel, or do you simply buy the Apple remote control for $39?
I'm leaning toward the $39, since it looks to me like the iPod connector requires the iPod to stay in the glove compartment and my iPod goes everywhere [:)]
I'd love to hear (and see) more from those who already have the kit installed
