OEM DVD flip monitor

Does anyone have experience in installing OEM DVD flip monitor in ML350 with sunroof? I spoke to Best Buys and Good Guys, they said my only options is headrest monitor [:(]. I would appreciate any comments or suggestions.

The VES flip monitor has been discontinued.

The Rosen VES has been discontinued by MB.
I just bought a system for $300 from an MB dealer. When I get a chance, I'm going to install it with the help of Paul's excellent instructions here on the forum.

Is it just a flip down or is this $300 includes flip down and VCP?

ASC are pretty close to you too.
Unfortunately it looks as if they only have Java left.

There are a few other places eg.

These guys are a bit more expensive but I can recommend them - I bought my running boards from them.

i just installed tactory ves system and i have to say it's the best mod i have done to the truck. i got mine from potomac german auto for $498 including video player. i am going to add dvd soon but i'm not sure where to get one. if it's more then 300 bucks then i'm going to wire PS2 because it can play dvd.

it took me good two days to install the system. it was weekend project. i took my family to beach past weekend and kids loved it.

Hey Geordie, I am also in Richmond, and have installed the VES, so if you need any help, don't hesitate to ask [:)]. Paul helped me out a lot, with his publication and private emails!

Can you use this if you have the sunroof option?

Can you install the OEM Video system if you have the sunroof option?

Also, what do you guys think of the sound, considering this kit is using a FM modulator to connect into the factory audio system?

Yes, mine is installed with sunroof with no problems whatsoever.

I find the sound is awesome through the BOSE system and sound quality is not reduced. I have both the vcp and dvd and have no complaints.

Easily the best mod done to my 2001 ML320 Sport.

I believe that the VES is easier to install if you have a sunroof!
