The rear door lock is not working on my 2000 ML320. This causes the system to cycle repeatedly. I'm 7000kms away from my next service and don't want to drive 2hours to get to the dealer to have it fixed. Any ideas what could be wrong or what I could do to override it? Manually locking the door prior to using the key fob solves this problem.
My warrenty will expire about the same time service is due, anything that I should get them to check while it's in?
Just keep on locking it manually until it's time for service. As far as what to check,
you may want to go through all the problems you've had taken care of while in warranty to see if there are any likely oes. I'd have them check to make sure there are no leaks whatsoever and, that should be it.

It is not something that you can fix yourself as the door lock actuator needs to be replaced. Since your Canadian warranty hasn't expired yet, you are still eligable for the MB Canada extended signature class wawrranty programme.
