DVD Navi for ML350.

I just got DVD Navi unit for my ML350 2003.

Here are few questions :

1. Do I need any aditional parts to make it work ?
2. Does it need to be verson coded by the dealer ?

thanks a lot.

Just the drive and the DVD disc. Do you intend to do the installation yourself?

Yes it does in order to get the navigation voice to function.

Randyman posts here as well. He actually got several parts from me that are required for the retrofit in his '98 ML. Yours will be even simpler than his, since you already have the MCS, antenna, etc.

You will need the MCS removal keys as well. That is why I asked as to whether you are planning to DIY. I can get those for you for US$10, shipping included. Feel free to e-mail me at store@benzworld.org for more details on that.

All you will need aside from the keys, is to purchase the DVD module and the DVD disc. Formymercedes.com, on of our site sponsors, is one of the places to get this, for example. You are looking at about $1400+ for both items.

Hope this helps!

re. dvd nav install

drew I would like to put Nav in my 03 ml350 as well, your saying I can buy all the things I need through you and the internet AND do the install myself?

Will I save alot of cash doing it that way versus going to the dealer? how hard is the install?

Thanks a lot.

since u have a 2003 ML, all u need is just the DVD drive and the DVD map -- that's it. i had to order the other paraphernalia from Drew since i have a 98 (mine is not pre-wired like urs). the install is super-duper easy. just get the radio removal tools and remove the torx screws for the top portion of the MCS unit and ur all set.
