MPG

On a positive note, I got 20.0 mpg in my ML430 on a trip to Alabama this weekend. Man, I had to baby it to get it to do it, even had to let it ease up the hills, no cruise. Best I've seen yet. Of course when I got back into town, it went down quickly. Averaging in the 17's, typical for everybody?
Re: MPG . . . Yes! Last year I got 21mpg going to Toronto from Balto w/99-430.

Of course, I broke it in well. The 430 has an AVERAGE of 16.5 mpg since day one with 41k on it (hauling a 2700-lb boat in summer.) My 00-55 is at 17.1 AVERAGE from day one with 20k on it.

Keep on truck'in! - - - - - Jüri.

Re: 1k - Normal? . . . Yes, tight when new. Give it 10-15k to break in, and DO IT RIGHT! - :^)

Re: MPG

On my 98 ML320 I got about 18 around town and 24 to 25 on the road at 65 to 70 MPG. With my ML 500 I get about 14 to 15 around town and 19 to 20 on the road. Use 93 octane and fid that on the road it does better with cruise on.
