[:0][8)][B)] Sorry to hear that, Kevin! They can fix it, but I'm not sure how much it will cost in your area.
I was right next door to you a few weeks ago. I went to Fuji and went accross the street to the liquer store for a bottle of VinoI'd head there for lunch but I'm watching an eBay auction for some optical equipment - $3200 for a $16k toy! I'm on 35 across from Treasure Island - great pizza place next door by Jersey Mikes.
It seems fine now.yea... i was trying to post last night when i got back, but then seems like the benzworld wasnt working... is it dagerous for me ta drive around with that?

You probably have quite a lot of wheel vibration since the balance is completely out of wack now. The main issue that I see would be that the tire might come off the bead and you might have a puncture. You can have the wheel fixed, but it may be better to purchase a new (old) wheel. For now, you may want to put on the spare tire - make sure that it is properly inflated - if you plan on going anywhere further than around town.
If it was me, I would have the ML out in the snow, driving around as fast as possible, having some fun.glad to have an ML in the garage in case it gets nastier
Funny! That was the first time I went to Fuji and I asked the girl I went with the same thing: What's with the Bird Store so close? LOLGenerally I'm parked in the corner opposite the shopping center. If you come on a good day you could see the CEO's 2000 ML55 with the sales guy's 2001 ML55 with my 2002 ML55 - all black. Now if only I could get the system test guy to get a 2003...
The liquor store by the A&P down the road has a much better selection. Fuji is a bit too close to the bird store for me to order the chicken [:O], but it's a favorite place for us to take our visiting clients. I'll have to keep an eye out for you!
The dealer will probably charge you a few hundred! If the tire is undamaged aside from some scrapes on the sidewall, it should be fine to re-use it. I've been in the same situation, by the way, but not with a MB vehicle. It turned out that the wheel could've actually been perfectly restored too, and for much less money ($150 vs $500). Of course I only learnt of this after I bought a new aluminum alloy wheel. I hope that you're company is paying for that. Why would you need a personal OTDR? LOL []We can do lunch (if I'm ever in town- too much traveling in my future!). By the way, I got the $16k OTDR for a whopping $3200. I may be rekindling a dangerous relationship between eBay and my credit cards![:0]
that perhaps you were thinking of using it to analyse the ML's optical CAN-BUS network? [] []Yes, the company will pay for that one but I would have kept the $300 older version that I lost last night. You never know when one will come in handy...
