Thanks for all of your help too, Wolfgang!...

BTW, regarding the Nav. antenna, I found out today that while the older part is still available, the newer part (ending ...18 75, I think?) does work and is indeed half the price! It's certainly "cheaper" as you mentioned on your page, LOL.

Congrats!

I didn't know that you needed to stand still for half an hour - that explains why it took about an hour of driving to get synced.

ah, the magic of the M. :-) This is not the first time MB lowered M-Class parts prices. The old GPS antenna was a bit out of wack..

Ok, I installed mine too.

Like Drew said, installing takes 30-45 minutes top. But I am having a hard time finding the antenna. They want $300 for part #163-820-18-75, too much. I have been looking on Ebay, and I lost one for a $2.00 difference, final price $152. They are two more this week, I will try to get one. If any of you are bidding, LKM, because I need the antenna now. Otherwise I will keep looking or pay $300, which will make me cry.
I have CD7 if anybody needs a copy. I already arranged to have a copy of CD#1, keeping the originals and the copies just in case, right?[;)][}:)]
If anybody knows where else I can get the antenna for less the $300, please LKM.
I'll post pics tomorrow, and I have the instructions if anybody needs them. They will be included in my little DIY compilation CD.

BETO, do you know if you go with OE antenna you also need an spliter?
The cheap way is get an after market antenna and place the antenna under the dash above the headunit.

Let me know if you need one I will sell you cheap.
