San Francisco Bay Area Storm

It was raining (still is) cats and dogs today and most likely all of tonight. Winds were very strong throughout the day. In fact, the road leading towards my home in Millbrae was filled and covered with leaves, branches and other debris! Well, as I was driving home from work on US 101 South, I have never felt so safe during such a storm in my ML than any other car I have been in. The ML did not move or jerk one bit from the strong winds while driving 60MPH. Also, with the WeatherTech side deflectors, our windows did not fog up one bit! The interior was nice and dry with the window cracked 1/2 inch open. Great upgrade for only $80 measley dollars!

Stay dry! Thanks. [:D]

I don't know where you were driving but I went to a dinner party in Hillsborough and my car was tossed left and right on the 280. I almost ran into a downed eucalyptus tree on Hayne Rd. The coolest thing was trying out the rain sensing wipers for the first time.

I know what you mean David......

I feel very safe in the ML too. If I had one word to describe it, it would be "Solid".

Oh by the way if you were wondering, it's warm an sunny here in Hawaii, about 86 degrees with a light cool breeze.
[:D][:p][:o)][:D]

Stay dry Buddy!

You really haven't had the chance to try it since August? man you folks must

have had a very dry summer. They're pretty cool. I would like to know how the rain sensor works. I was once told that it's based on the difference in the refraction coefficients of rain (water) on glass vs no-rain on glass. Somebody, talk dirty technical to me, please.

Have you tried the lights in Auto in the fog?

The Hella article answers Darmann's question, same principle on the MB.

Other subject, you may be surprised with headlights on 'Auto' in the fog. Day break conditions will confuse the system with the relection from the fog droplets. If you need lights then, you must force to manual.
