New Ml Owner some questions...

Alright i just bought my first Mercedes, YAY!! I traded in my 98AccordV6 for a 99 Ml320. The Ml has 44k miles on it, and it looks like it was babied, i bought if from a Merc dealership.
The car is a little slower on the pickup then the Accord which is definetly to be expected but i like it. Ive read various articles where it says the M Class is the bastard child of the Mercedes family, but whatever. Anyways onto my questions....
1. Ok around town i never beat it, i barely bring it to 2grand on the rpms no hard turns abrupt stops nothing like that but on the highway...i kinda drive fast. I never accelerate fast i just like doing between 80 and 85 occasionally hitting 90. Is this bad? I usually keep the tach around 3000 i cant help it. I try sometimes to go slower. So anyways is this bad? Long term wear down on the car/engine at all?

2. The ML came with the M1 package as well as with the Bose audio system. I dont know Bose well, can i just replace the speakers with some MB Quartz or do i need to replace everything. Basically can i hook up aftermarket speakers and maybe a subwoofer in the back to my stock headunit? And, whats the deal with the woofers under the seat?

3. Is there a third question... i think i had one to ask.... ok yeah the Ml is built in America, what about the engine. I had heard this was a new to MB the V6 instead of inline, any reported problems with this engine? Is it a good tight engine? I havnt head too much on that.

Thanks for helping,
Steve

Welcome Big Buddha!

For question number 1, Juri wrote an extensive post on proper break-in. You may want to do an archive seach under the key word "break-in" or "mileage."

Question 2: I don't know.

Question 3: I also don't know.

Hope this helps...[^]
