Can the wiring harness take the draw from 100 watt H1's for the high beams for a 1999 ML320? I do not have the tech specs on the harness, and don't want to cook it.

It is not just the harness that you have to be concerned about but the headlamp lens, the reflector, as well as the bulb socket. I have heard of at least one person melting the socket due to the additional heat from the overwattage bulb. I wouldn't do it. If it melts, it will obviously not be covered under warranty.
You are correct with your concerns as the assembly is plastic, not glass. This is the first car I have owned with an all plastic headlamp assembly. It looks like bi-xenons are the way to go for better light. I just hoped that I wouldn't have to write that check yet!
Does MB Canada sell the EPC for the ML, or do they offer the same lame tech literature as MBUSA?
Thanks,
Eric
