I just installed one of those Aftermarket radio
that plays 100++ mp3 song on a single CD. Erverything works perfect expect when I turn the engine off I loose all my preset memory. I'm using the wiring harness crutchfield supplied and soldered all the wires together. I bet our cars does not supply power to the radio when its shut off but I'm sure there is a way to get around this. HELP!! **i have the bose system on my 99ML430** thanks....
You have both the power and remote wires connected to the REM +. more
All radios have two power wires. One is connected to an 'always-on' power source so that any presets and the time will always be saved. The other is connected to a remote power source which shuts off with the engine.
The harness they gave you is wrong or you didn't connect them properly.
Re: You have both the power and remote wires connected to the REM +. more
Certainly! I've noticed the 2 wires with the harness. Red - power and I think yellow for 'always-on' power. I guess the problem is with the harness. Do you know where I can obtain a harness spesifically for the 430? The one I got from crutchfield is for the 320. Thanks!
I don't think it should matter which model but rather if it's a bose/non-bose system.
Not sure where to get it but if the harness snapped into place properly, then it could just very well be a defective harness. Try calling crutchfield again and ask if they have the wiring diagram for the ML.
hey, Man, glad to hear from you again,I'm just wondering your not posting anymore since the disaster. Are you the one on picture? Its blurry.
