Hi all. I have searched the forum for this but it's hard to know exactly how to describe it in keywords. So I will try posting instead. I recently purchased a 2005 ML350. When driving tonight I had the windows down as it was cool outside. I noticed that hot air comes up from the steering wheel area at road speeds. It's not just a little. Plus it feels like 90 degrees or so. It's enough that I feel it on my face. It's hard to figure out the source because I have to be driving for it to happen. So I hope it's a problem that has been encountered here and someone can help. Many thanks in advance
Hi guys. Thank you for the replies. Recirculate doesnt help. With the windows up the air flow slows but is still present. The underdash panels feel warm on that side but cool in the passenger side. I'm stumped
The key is whether the hvac control is off. If it is off chances are it's an opening in the firewall ( run any wires through the firewall). If it stops when turned off I'd start looking for a flapper motor problem. Good luck.
All air is off. I will look for any openings in the firewall or over the transmission
