No I did not used a bleeder kit, I did bleed the master cylinder after it was on the car.The sequence that I used is rear passenger, rear driver, passenger and last driver side.I am in the process of using a brake pressure bleeder.I don't know what to do anymore.I have dome many brake jobs in my live, never had this problem before, almost every thing is new. Thanks for your reply.

But how did you bleed the master cylinder on the car? Without a kit you cannot bleed it.

If you just installed it, connected the lines and filled it up with fluid, then you definitely have air pockets in the system.

You can buy the kit at any automotive store (Pepboys, etc.). Leave the master cyl. on the booster, disconnect the lines and install the nipples and hoses as per the video and slowly press the brake pedal until there are no more bubbles coming through the hoses. Tip, buy a kit with clear plastic hoses.

Then reattach lines and bleed the system at each wheel. Remember, before opening the bleeder screws at each wheel, you must pump the brake pedal 3-5 times and then hold it down, then open the bleeder.

OP,

If your pedal is soft and goes to the floor, you still have air trapped in the system. Another thing, why did you even feel the need to bleed the master cylinder? IMO that was not necessary at all.

Hello again guy's thanks for all the help.it is really an honor. OK now back to the brakes.the reason for bleeding the master cylinder is when I install the calipers and pads with the other master cylinder. It was doing the same so I change the master cylinder for a new one to find out that was nothing wrong with the other master cylinder anyway,it was always a air in the system anyway.

I have a question: Tomorrow I has a friend that is letting me used his Brake Pressure Bleeder.what I want to know if this will do the job and get the air out of system, including the ABS ?

.....Can someone help me find the service manual for the 2002 Mercedes ML320.Any links that I can download ? I have the operator manual that came with the car,but that don't help much,Thanks in advance

Others are happy to help you, but you also need to make it easy to help you. You need to update your user profile (see post #2 above). We do not know where you live (it matters - models are different) and we cannot keep asking you what model you have etc.

Yes, you have the details in this thread but members won't keep looking back through old posts to work it out - too much effort.

As to your question - if you mean "workshop manual" there isn't one. If you have specific questions/problems then several members can provide very detailed PDFs specific to your question/problem.

Hello guys. I have a new update on the brakes.I did used the Pressure Bleeder. This is what happen
The brake are working a little better, but still the pedal now don't go all the way down, but the at least go down 3\4 of the way.Now when you are in park car on .motor running.when you apply the brake they go down 1\2 way as you live your on then ,you feel little by little going down at least a 1\4 more.then if you pump it they will get hard but as you live your feet on then they star going down. What this mean that I still have air on the pump.Another thing is the the red light with the letter SRS don't go off is always on.Please help..........
ps: I the car for a test drive.I was doing about 60 m\h and I slam on the brakes the car brake but it went a good 20' to 30' feet before it really came to a complete stop. Please can somebody tell me what can be wrong so I can get to it.don't know what to do anymore .I really don't want to take it to the dealer.

The brake pedal behaviour is perfectly normal for a brake system with air still in it. Your pressure bleed did not work. Why not just go to a brake specialist and ask for a pressure bleed - nothing else. Here this costs about $100.

As to your SRS light being on I suggest you read the following thread and you may discover the fault - a cable disconnected or a wire cut behind/under the rear seat. Happened to me when I lowered the rear seat and the seat hinge "guillotined" a wire to an SRS sensor.

If this were me, I would do this: yoou replaced the fronts, so we'll assume everything is good there. I would remove each rear caliper, squeeze the pistons in with the bleeder valve open, grease up the pad contact points, reinstall and rebleed.

You then have done everything you can reasonably do yourself.
