It seems I can't get away from ML wiper problems, this time on my 2001 ML320.
The wipers were frozen to the windshield this morning. I started it up and made sure the switch was not on waiting for it to warm up.
When I jumped in to drive off, the wiper did not work and I smell a burnt motor type odor.
I've had it thawing out for the last hour, and found that fuse 7 was toast. Changed it and still nothing.
The wipers will not budge whats so ever. Am I guessing its the motor. I don't smell anything on the outside, but it's very noticeable inside.
Thanks in advance.

My wipers began gradually working slower and I could completely stop them by hand with little resistance, eventually they stopped working altogether......... When I removed the motor it had an electrical 'burnt' smell about it.
