Does anyone have any tricks or tips for the job? It looks fairly straight forward. I went and bought the correct sockets for the job. Any tips on how to get the intake tube off without breaking any clips etc? Thanks in advance. I can't wait to have this baby purring
Yeah I thought as much.. A little stressed about that part. I'll take my time and hopefully not break anything. Im worried about the hose that attaches inside the manifold breaking
With the coolant res off thats all you should need. Use a flat blade screwdriver to pry apart the top clip, one side at a time. Undo the bottom one with your thumb. DO NOT PUSH DOWN HARD ON THE BOTTOM CLIP. JUST ENOUGH TO UNDO

Thanks man! I was about to do the bottom first then the top. So you press the bottom clip down towards the firewall? Will it just pop off when I release it?
Thanks I just dont want to fuck anything up if possible. This thing has cost me enough already lol
There is a tab on the bottom clip which comes off the Intake Tube towards the right side of the vehicle (battery side). Push it straight down towards the ground. This will clear the clip of where its locked into, then pull the whole tube towards the firewall at the same time your pressing downwards
Ok thanks I'll take a took and give it a try. Top first bottom second got it! I want this back together by tonight. Well see how she goes. Lots of shit to take off just to get to the manifold
Dont pull the top clip all the way back to the firewall!! You will break the bottom one. Just enough so its unclipped from the metal post it attaches to. GENTLE GENTLE GENTLE.
Thanks man its out and in good shape! phew that saved me a shitload of time and second guessing dude. ill start undoing the vacuum hoses , remove.the wireing harness cafrefully and.drian the fuel line and then take the manifold off. im sure ill have more.questions.as.i go
