Adapter needed?

paulmjj -

Where did you find it for $280?

Also, did you need to buy a separate 38 pin adaptor to be able to use it on the Benz?

Regards,
Kevin

That depends on which year Benz.

For the W163 it all goes through the ODB II port.

Autocom diagnostic tool

I bought it on amazon autel maxidiag elite md802 for 270 something. The cheapest one on there tonight is 325. I have a 2000 ml and it only uses obd2 connector under dash for all info. Depends on vehicle year like noodles said.

You can even get the latest software for a little more:
2012.3 Latest Software Activation for Delphi DS150E, Autocom CDP and CDP+ | Diagnostic Tools UK

I will post some screenshots tomorrow when I have the software loaded up... its actually very comprehensive and shows live data and records data too.

Another tool which is good for mercedes benz is Launch Diagun:
Launch X-431 Diagun Diagnostic Tool | Diagnostic Tools UK

I also have MB Star DAS/Xentry but I don't use it often as the Autocom/Diagun usually gets the job done.
Hello TsJ,

Can you tell me if the Autocom cdp pro + with DS150e 2013.3 software can access and read multi function modules in your W210 ? (things like door modules, PSE, SAM, Upper / lower control modules etc. ? I have 1998 e320 and the scanner accesses everything except the multi function modules. Maybe there is a trick to get it access ?

Thanks.

I'm not sure about the autocom, but if you get a xentry system you can access it for sure but it will cost you around $500.

Paul
I am sure xentry does. The Autocom spec says it can do it too, but mine just times out, and says "no response". Maybe there is a trick to get them scanned (different model year, more up to date software, etc.)
